 "Not a firm mattress" 2010-03-21
By Leo
The mattress arrived with a lump right down the middle of the mattress - it felt as if the padding had become dislodged and was bunched up under the cover. It was significant enough that it was visible and would have been very uncomfortable and in my opinion unsafe for an infant. I thought about just flipping the mattress to the other side, however when I did that, I was not pleased with the firmness of the mattress. The mattress was rather squishy for lack of a better word - even the regular mattress we sleep on is much firmer. The mattress did however fit snugly in our crib.

Overall, I was not pleased with the quality of this mattress for the following reasons - 1) the defect noted above, 2) firmness (or lack of) and 3) it didn't seem to have much padding between the cover and the coils (even on the side without the defect).

I highly recommend doing research on what qualities to look for in a good crib mattress then going to the store so you can see and feel the mattress before purchasing.

 "looks good!" 2010-03-08
By beca (ny)
We are expecting twins and bought this as our second mattress to the one we have for our first son - we haven't used it yet (twins due in three days!), but its very firm, appears well made and fits perfectly in our crib. The one we bought for our first born was much more expensive, but they appear similar in quality and firmness. We are mighty picky so I went to the store and touched and looked at a bunch, this one appears very good, better than others.

 "Not firm at All" 2010-01-30
By Avi Dagaria (chicago, il)
Well when it said extra firm thats what we expected! we have taken several child birth classes and all of them suggested a firm mattress to protect against sids. This mattress isn;t even semi-firm by any strech of imagination. Our padded mattresses are firmer than this. Completely avoid!

 "Fits a standard crib" 2010-01-05
By S. Kirsten (Woodland, CA)
This mattress is just what we were looking for - very firm but doesn't seem too uncomfortable. Additionally, it runs a little larger than the average mattress (we had a different mattress that we got for free with the crib that was a few inches smaller on the side), so it fits VERY snugly in a standard crib. In fact, we have to lift the mattress out a little just to get the sheet on, which can be a pain if you have a crib bumper but is comforting to know that the baby can't get his hands stuck between the mattress and crib. Have already recommended this mattress to a few other parents.
